Lamborghini Enters the World of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)
Following a series of social media posts suggesting it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. It's called Space Key and created in collaboration with an undisclosed artist and made up of an advanced carbon fiber composite material that was delivered to the International Space Station for research purposes.

Lamborghini, the Italian automobile manufacturer, is taking a first step towards the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The latest project, named the Space Key, is a work of art created in collaboration with a unknown artist. key lamborghini urus is a unique piece of digital art that is obtained by scanning a QR code. The project is limited and will be auctioned off within the next few weeks.
The Space Key is made of carbon composite material which Lamborghini, in the course of a research project in 2019 sent to the International Space Station. Once it returned to earth the carbon fiber was then sculpted into this unique artwork. The physical object is equipped with an NFT serial code that connects to the digital artwork via QR code located on the back.
NFTs, for those not familiar they are unique identifiers that are recorded on a distributed ledger of the blockchain and connected to a digital asset such as a photograph video, song, or other record. This allows owners to verify the authenticity, scarcity and the trackability of their tokens through the internet.
Lamborghini takes this unique approach to art a step further by collaborating with NFT PRO, an all-white label NFT solution for businesses. In the coming weeks, Lamborghini will reveal details about the exciting project. This includes the names of the artists unknown to them and a timetable for auction.
The physical element of Space Key
After numerous social media posts hinting at something space-themed the Italian supercar maker Lamborghini entered the world non-fungible (NFT) tokens with an exclusive initiative dubbed Space Key. The NFT was developed in collaboration with an unknown artist and will be auctioned in a few short weeks. At its heart is a piece that's made of the latest carbon fiber composite material that was delivered to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019 as part of a research project. Carbon fiber was 3D printed for the base of every Space Key. Each Space Key is connected to a unique, digital artwork using the QR code. Five Space Keys have been produced.
NFTs are unique identifiers that can be stored on distributed ledgers such the Blockchain and linked to digital assets such as images. They're a hot topic for those with more money than sanity So it was only a matter of time before an automaker decided to capitalize on the trend.
Space Key is made up of five parts. It was developed using a carbon fiber composite, which was sent to the ISS back in the year 2019. Each NFT is linked to an exclusive digital artwork by the same artist by using an QR code that is located on the back of the carbon fiber element. After weeks of social-media posts hinting at it, the luxury automobile maker Lamborghini finally revealed its first project involving non-fungible tokens (NFT). The Space Key is a collection of five items that unlocks an exclusive digital artwork by an unidentified artist. The project was developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm) the "collector's work" is limited to only five units and will be auctioned off soon.
Each Space Key contains a block comprised of the most advanced carbon-fire composite material, which was shipped to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research project. After returning to Earth the space key was engraved with a QR code, which connects it to the digital element of the Space Key.
Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that occurs at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Over 600 million pixels each of the five images which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.
Oefner used an inflatable camera with a lens to capture the individual images, which were then put together into the final image. The result is an out-of-this world photo that captures the beauty of the Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic look of the car rising from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off in the near future, but the exact date and time of the auction haven't yet been confirmed yet.

The auctions are scheduled to take place from February 1 to February 4. They will last 75 hours and 50 minutes - the time it took Apollo 11 for him to leave Earth and enter the lunar orbit. The five NFTs can be bid on by registering online. Each NFT will be sold separately and the winner will get an artwork created by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner that captures five different moments that the Space Key experienced during its flight in outer space.
